Delivering genetic medicine to the mitochondrion
Hydra Biotech AG is a Swiss biotechnology company developing non-viral gene therapy for primary mitochondrial disease.
Primary mitochondrial diseases affect thousands of patients across Europe and the United States. There is no approved disease-modifying therapy, and existing gene-therapy approaches reach only a fraction of the underlying genetic causes.
We are developing a delivery platform capable of carrying macromolecular cargo to the mitochondrion, addressing disease at its genetic source.
